Mariclaire T. Thresten, PT, MHS, OCS, graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1985 and her Masters degree from the University of Indianapolis Kranart School of Physical Therapy in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2003. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Health Science at the University of Indianapolis Kranart School of Physical Therapy. Mariclaire joined the team at PRO Rehabilitation Services in October 2006, and treats patients in our Plains clinic.
Mariclaire has extensive physical therapy experience in both hospital and outpatient settings. She was the owner and manager of a private practice physical therapy company for over four years. Mariclaire has been an adjunct assistant professor at Misericordia University in the Physical Therapy Department since 1994.
Mariclaire is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). She has completed numerous courses in continuing her self-development in physical therapy education including the McKenzie Approach to the Lumbar Spine and the Cervical Spine, Lumbo–Pelvic Integration, Strain-Counterstrain, and Advanced Evaluation and Manipulation of Lumbar, Cervical, and Thoracic Spine. She also completed courses on the treatment and evaluation of the shoulder, knee and foot.
Mariclaire is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. She holds a Direct Access License.
